Hi there I’m a new bee with a problem my 2012 A7 has a transmission gearbox error won’t start saying needs to be in p/N any help much appreciated thanks 

This could be a module or sensor failure. Think you'll need a diagnostic check. 

Thanks just got car in garage it the gearbox  switch blocked they said it’s common 

so need to be replaced they said there’s an Audi bulletin about it

He needs to replace the loom cables hopefully not a big job and doesn’t need to open the gearbox or it’s big bucks 

Exactly. Any stripping of a gearbox internals is very expensive. 

Does anyone know if the wiring for the connectors are on the outside of the gearbox because my mechanic said if he needs to open gearbox needs to be sent to a specialist which is another word for money
