Keyless entry

Featured Replies

Hi guys. New to audi so please be gentle with me lol. Can I ask a question about the keyless entry system ? I can't get mine to work I have to use the key fob to unlock the doors. Is there something that needs activated in the menu I am not seeing? Many thanks Andy.

Hi thanks for the reply.  I was speaking to someone in the work.  They have said that not all cars are fitted with the sensors. That's why it does not work. Don't know if that's why I can't get it to work.  Cheers Andy

Think it was an extra. So it sounds like your car might not have it. It can be retrofitted but it won't be cheap:

Hi thanks for the link much appreciated.

Hello Andy,

As I understand it, if you have a touch button on the door handle then it has keyless entry, and touching that button should open the door if the keys are close by. No button, no KE.
I guess the answer lies with the build record. Not sure if this still available on line, but should be doable via. a visit to the dealer’s Parts Dept. - or Audi Customer Services?
Kind regards,

Gareth.
p.s. Of course, we are taking some decades into the future here, judging by the year on the Profile! It’s not just me that gets things wrong then!

Thank you. I will pop into a dealer and get it checked.  Thanks everyone for all the help. Cheers Andy
