CONSIDERING PURCHASE OF A 2016 A7 TDI 3.0 S-LINE

Featured Replies

Good morning, wondering if any of you own this same year, TDI model and trim ? If so how would you review your purchase after 100k miles HAPPY ?  NOT HAPPY ? ETC...

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

(btw this is in the US so emission mods are a factor)

Drew.

THANK YOU, much appreciated.

I did buy it, but it was exhibiting a strange popping/flapping noise when braking fairly hard, in sequence to the speed of the car, so the dealership replaced the front brakes which appeared to have fixed it, but now its back, so I opened up a new topic to this forum.

Thank you.

Hello Drew,

Sorry to hear about the return of your issue, but regrettably, I think it’s going to be almost impossible to diagnose your issue without examining the car, so it sounds like a return visit to the selling dealer.
Your may get possible suggestions on here, but if it were mine, I would be returning it for further inspection and sorting without delay - after all, it’s a brake associated issue, and you just don’t want to be guessing a possible cause.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Garage has to fix this foc in the first 30 days after purchase. You could get an alternative opinion from another garage incase the supplying dealer is trying to fob you off.
