Advice on performance

Featured Replies

Hello, its an honour to finally become an Audi driver. Ive always loved them but never had the pleasure of driving one!

I have an A4 2023 35tfsi S Line S Tronic due to be delivered start of October. I wondering if its worth putting a TDI tuning box on it to get some extra punch?

I wanted the 40tfsi as when I drove a colleagues 35tfsi it felt a little sluggish, although his was manual.

I had to order it on the spot to arrive quickly and the 35tfsi was all I could get , I don't have the option of remapping properly etc as its a company car.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also what's the deal with the alloys?! they are so vanilla for an S Line!

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums

What's preventing you from the remap that isn't stopping you from plugging in a box?

Company car is a factor but it will also be maintained by my local Audi dealership , which im assuming they would notice the second they service it?

Thanks Sully,

I’m not sure if you are ‘talking your way out of this’ or not. As I see it, the car won’t be yours to decide what to do with, but will be owned by the leasing company or the company you work for.
If you decide to add a Tuning Box to this new vehicle, then it would be sensible to expect that that will adversely affect/invalidate the car’s warranty, and the bottom line could be that you will then be held responsible for any resultant issues  not covered by that warranty. You will also need to inform whoever insures the vehicle.
A cynical old view, but if you want to arrive somewhere sooner for your business, then just leave a little earlier - sorry!
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Advice given to me from a VAG specialist on this topic:

A tuning box is easy to spot; it's a physical unit and if you crash your car and haven't told insurance it'll void your policy. And they're s#!t.

Remaps can only be discovered if someone is looking for it specifically, and knows exactly what they are doing. Insurance companies don't do this. Audi may however inadvertently reset it 😆

Hi.

If you ever needed any help with insurance at all for a chip, re-map or tuning box then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan
