Hi. I'm new to the forum. Bought my first Audi a few weeks ago. Its a 2007 2.7 TDI Quattro and I must say I'm more than happy with it so far. I seem to remember reading that some of the body panels on the C6 are aluminium. Just curious but is it just the front wings or any other panels aluminium?

Thanks Steve. I'm really pleased with the car so far. Theres a few minor jobs to do on it but nothing major.  Does any one have any recommendations for part suppliers or do most tend to use the usual - GSF, Eurocarparts etc?

Thanks again

Hello Nic,

Welcome from down south.

I seldom use ECP for a number of reasons.
Yes, GSF seem reasonable, and have been effective with me in terms of ease of pick up.
The one I have favoured in the past is Car Parts in Motion. A choice of good branded parts at reasonable prices, and good on delivery schedules.
I try to by quality parts at most competitive prices.
What sort of parts are you expecting to want to buy Nic?
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hello and thanks Gareth.

I've had a 4x4 truck for the last 6 years so been using 4x4 specialists for all my parts. Finally decided to get something more refined/grown up hence changing to the audi!

Nothing major fingers crossed. Just planning to replace suspension arm pins, bushes, usual  service parts and possibly light cluster as one seems to be letting water in.

Thanks Nic,

Incase it helps:- I favour Febi/Bilstein ( Febi and Blue print in that order) for ‘mechanical’ parts.
Mann or Bosch for filters. I certainly avoid ECP’s Crossland.
Quantum Longlife 3 for engine oil.
I usually search EBay for reliable and competitive sellers - often P in M, but not always.
Kind regards,

Gareth.
p.s. Are the Gogs tighter than the Cardies? They tell me that if a true Cardie loses a £1 out of his pocket when he is up a ladder, he can catch it before it hits the ground!

🤣🤣 not heard that one before! To be fair most of us gogs haven't got enough sense to be tight!
