The risks of ECU failure and future associated damage to the Engine and Gearbox are very high. Martyn77 Posted December 26, 2023 Share Posted December 26, 2023 Absolutely NOT!!!.. I purchased a unit from them 6 years ago for my 2010 A3 2lt tdi. I have recently returned it to them for an upgrade as I have now puchased a 2016 A3 2lt tdi. The fuel consumption dropped dramatically and the BHP increased dramatically with much added torque through all gears with the unit. Just go on the "Chip Express" website to see for yourself. In my experience Motorsport Developments in Blackpool are the best around, they have done several cars of mine and even live mapped my Escort Cosworth with a laptop running Racelogic whilst we were driving it.
