Battery failure in Audi A3

Featured Replies

I have just been informed that the two batteries in my A3 need replacing. The car is only 4 years old, and the 48v battery is particularly expensive. I would have thought the life of a £1000 battery should last longer. Can I ask if this is considered standard, or is this a part failure? Any feedback would be interesting. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Graham and thanks for joining,

Was this car registered in late 2020 rather than earlier in the year?
If so, could, just could, be the adverse affects of cars sitting around for months awaiting components/ Covid associated.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi I have a 2023 Audi A3 Sline, 23 months old, have had a problem with battery system failure, for past 4 months, after a few visits to supportive dealer problem was found to be the 48v battery was draining the 12volt battery, both have been replaced under warranty. No further issues.
