Low oil pressure

Featured Replies

Hey crew,

My Audi S3 is triggering its low oil pressure light.

The dipestick level is fine. There are no funny noises and the car isn't overheating.

is this just a case of a faulty sensor or is it something bigger. I am planning to check the pressure later in the week but was seeking advice if anyone has encountered this aswell,

kind regards,

Ferg

* it also triggers at random. I can do a pull and it won't trigger and then when I drive normally it will trigger for 3 seconds and will then go away.

Ran a diagnostic. Nothing came up apart from my car running a bit lean but this will be fixed when I get a tune.

Hi find the pressure sensor and change it, probably about £20 for the part at least that will rule that option out.

Put new a new oil pressure sensor in last night which seems to have fixed the problem.

I also noticed my intake wasn't sitting properly on the turbo and was loose. Re-fitted everything and now I have no codes and the car isn't running lean anymore.

thanks everyone for your help!
