Hi, have any of you ever had this issue please, Steering Fault Please stop vehicle. The engine will not start. Called RAC and they were unable to diagnose the issue. They disconnected the battery as well but it did not help. Has anyone had this issue previously. Thank you.

Electric power steering on these Rhodel? 
If so, it would be worth getting the battery efficiency checked. Halfords stores should be able to do that for you. Please refer back to us if the battery proves to be substandard, before you commit to buy - if you have a respect for your wallet!

Further to Gareth's sound advice, if it's not the battery it could be a sensor or the rack itself. 

Thanks both. Called up RAC, they looked at the battery and it had power in it. The RAC chap even gave the battery a boost but the ignition would not start. Been advised to tow the car to the nearest Audi garage.

Hey Ahmei - I had to get RAC to tow our Q5 to the nearest Audit garage. Needed a full steering rack replacement which cost £1.4k . Took them 48 hrs to sort out at the garage. Unfortunate but don't think I had a choice as it wasn't related to the battery. All the best.
