Hi have you tried E bay Europe loads of breakers over there, alternatively PM  Magnet [Gareth] he mentioned a place the other day that makes subframes but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

Hi Steve

Thanks for your reply.  I have located a subframe EBay (Spain) over £500 quoted delivery.  Once got stung by customs ordering/returning parts from Spain so reluctant to purchase again.  Do you have any details for Magnet as I’m new to this site.

Dave

Try IM axles. They supply (good quality in my experience) subframes for some marques.
Audi??
Let us know how you get on Dave.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi All

No luck I’m afraid with IM.  Trying BreakerLink again, failing that it looks like the car is scrap.  Any other ideas from other members also appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Another option is local metal fabricators. Here's some I've found in Lancashire:

https://www.brimetlancashire.co.uk/?gad_source=1

https://kneesengineering.co.uk/fabrication/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA3ZC6BhBaEiwAeqfvyl9kLQwYi2lhHPMqLibi0BElkq3-qbtxFgr1NTnzzuVNYdigRVONChoC_NUQAvD_BwE

https://rpfabs.co.uk/services/

And let's not forget Motorsport specialists as they often have to fabricate all sorts:

Hope one of these can help 🙂

As far as I’m informed Steve, it is not permissible MOT wise to weld repair subframes.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

I wasn't sure either, I was thinking more along the lines of a new one being fabricated.
