Hello all,

I have a problem with my right reversing light. About a month or so ago i started getting a dash error that my right side reversing light bulb is out, I checked the bulb and its good, i do have an aftermarket reversing camera and parking sensors connected to that as well.

Everyting was working fine for the past couple of years now and i have not changed anything so this error is kinda a mystery. (during that month i had one incident where the error did not appear but the next day it came back).

I dont mind having the error pop up since there are modifications (parking sensors and rvc installed) which might cause the error to pop up, but the problem is the car shuts down power to the camera and parking sensors a few seconds after they are turned on (they do get power during that time and function properly) and i need those working.

I do have a VCDS, maybe there is a coding i can do so that the error does not appear and the power is not shut off so i can use the camera?

It sounds like a loose wire or bad earth to me.  

Thank you for a reply, i was thinking about ground as well since its like on and off situation, waiting for better weather to open up the wires and look whats going on there, btw which wire is the ground there? when i installed it i remember there were off colored wires which confused me at first and this was 5 years ago so my memory is gone now on the colors 😄
