sunroof rattle

Featured Replies

Hello All

i have a rattle coming from my 2009 A3 (factory fitted) sunroof and if i say its driving me mad that would be a understatement the rattle is coming from bottom trim panel if i push the trim panel up it stops i can recreate the rattle by pushing up the trim pane so it’s definitely coming from there

Any fixes for this?  (as a temporary measure i put a piece of rubber so the trim panel cant move and that works like a charm)

thanks in advance

 Hi all

just a quick update i have solved the rattling sunroof heres how I did it unfortunately no pics

tilt the sunroof look inside there should be 2 black plastic pieces either side of the sunroof in the runners (track) about 3/4 of the way to the front of the car i only had one on the passenger side of sunroof i could just get my hand inside the gap (at the back of sunroof) found the missing black piece pulled it back so it was level with the existing piece opposite and bingo rattling has stopped completely this was 4 days ago so fingers crossed

hope this helps
