Headlight Washer Fault

Featured Replies

Hi all, hoping someone can help - the headlight washers on my 2010 A3 Sportback 1.8TFSI have stopped working. I've checked the fuse (F32) and can also hear a relay trigger every 5th activation of the wipers (with headlights on). When the relay clicks on / off , voltage can briefly be seen at the headlight washer pump.

It would appear that the relay isn't staying on long enough to activate the washer pump. Does anyone have any ideas what might be at fault?

Hi its most likely a dodgy relay, just had it on my daughters Q3, changed the relay all good.

Hi Stevey, many  thanks for your reply. It turned out to be the pump itself, so luckily was an easy fix.

Thanks again.
