Audi A3 8p 2.0 TDI won't start

Featured Replies

hello I have a problem with Audi A3 8p 2.0 TDI 170hp 2009. The car started working for 1 minute on idle and turned off, it won't start again. The starter cranks the engine without a problem. Diagnostics does not show any errors. It seems as if there is a delay in the fuel system, the fuel pump in the tank only works when the starter is turned. Maybe you have an idea where to start looking for the problem?

Hasn't it got to pumps? The one in the tank and the high pressure fuel pump. I'd like to think there'd be a code for this.

Could it be an imobiliser issue?

Checked pump in tank it's working. Immobilizer good. It's looks like want to start

Have you checked the high pressure fuel pump too?

No . Don't know how to check. But car was started and engine was running about 5 min and I quickly checked with vcds fuel pressure and it was good . Now car starts and runs but it looks still not good.

It running is a positive. When running what's the engine doing?

Ie rough idling, stuttering etc.

It's looking like fuel deprivation. And looks like producing oil but coolant not disappearing

Hi I have a similar problem with my A4 Avant 2008 BRD PD engine. What happened to make it start running again?

Regards

John
