Magnet Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If you think it’s an off side wheel bearing, then do a left hand turn and see if the noise becomes louder. N/s bearing suspected - take a right hand turn and see if the noise gets louder.

I think it might be slightly louder when steering right , so im thinking left hand bearing , only very slightly louder , to be honest if the radio is on you'd hardly hear it , so im thinking its only getting rough rather than gone . Its booked in for a service in 3 weeks so im hoping it should last until then . At least now I know its not the tyres , the tyre shop gave the 2 that were on the car a good check and confirmed that the tyres weren't the problem, so my garage wants to check it tomorrow to confirm but won't be able to do the job until 3 weeks time . To be honest I've had bearings in the past that would drown out the radio . The noise stays while coasting so it shouldn't be a gearbox bearing as its there with no load and the gearbox is acting very normal , so im thinking for sure wheel bearing .
