The AC switch just turns it's self of straight away.. we now we have this weird noise since having the AC gased.. We don't hear it in the engine bay or on the outside of the car just inside the car.. I have attached some videos if anyone has experience same thing please help and share your experience. cliffcoggin Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I am getting only broken audio, not video, sounding like an engine revving. Nevertheless I suggest you take it back to whoever did the job for a diagnosis.
Sid2020 Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I cans access your files but The evaporator is the main ac component behind the dash and changes fluid into gas to generate the chilling effect and is usualy silent, I have came across noisy heater boxes when ac in engaged but nothing to load. Too much gas in the system can cause a grinding noise from the ac pump at higher revs but this would be very noticeable
19Stacey85. Posted Tuesday at 01:44 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 01:44 PM (edited) Solved the noise... it's was the condenser The valve has failed on the condenser & blew the pin through the new pressure switch that I purchased from Audi at £116 😭 we did have ac for 5 minutes before it failed. No more noise now the condenser is broken. Edited Tuesday at 01:51 PM by 19Stacey85.

19Stacey85. Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago (edited) So we had a new condenser fitted yesterday and got a new pressure switch and we had the car re gased the AC is all working and holding but the noice comes back when the AC button in side the car is switched off. The noice goes away when I switch AC button on.. I have attached a video you can hear the difference change when the AC bottom goes off.. sounds tiny/echo only from inside the Car. Could this just be the AC settling and just need time.. since owning the car it's never had working AC so I can't tell how it was before. it's now had new AC compressor & condenser & pressure switch all new parts not reconditioned We are at a loss now with the noice 🤔 PXL_20250705_095539542.mp4 Edited 2 hours ago by 19Stacey85. Steve Q Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'd recommend taking it back to the garage for further diagnosis. Could it be the heater controls which includes the AC button?
cliffcoggin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Once again I can only hear broken audio so all I can suggest is to take the car back for diagnosis.
