Oldnbald65 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hi All yet another gremlin my central locking will every minute or so lock the doors even with the key in ignition will carry on doing this until battery is flat. So far been lucky as two keys Would flat fob batteries be a cause??? Very greatful for any input please.
cliffcoggin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago No, the fob batteries will not cause that. It might be worth looking at the wires inside the rubber bellows between door and frame. Fracture of those wires is a common fault in other models. 1
Oldnbald65 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Yeah will do, I did read somewhere it relocks itself if it does'nt register a door being opened will have to look if the dash display shows the door open. Thanks for your reply have a good weekend
Magnet Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yes, they do lock automatically if the doors or boot aren’t opened, following the car being opened with the fob. No, it should not lock if the key is in the ignition.
Steve Q Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Might be worth getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
