Featured Replies

Hi all,

new to this forum chat.

Can anyone recommend a good and reputable company to get my car remapped?

I have a 2017 S3saloon.

Also I live in MK

thanks

Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. You could look at revo or Celtic tuning. Depending on power don't forget to get the gearbox remapped too.

I’ve got it booked in at Phantom tuning in Bedford Steve - you heard of them?
engine and gearbox map for £538.
from 306 - 386bhp.

Well, after talking to them I wasn’t keen on them putting it on a rolling road,

and to be honest I’m not sure if it’s in with the price?

but after speaking to some other Audi owners they’re advising that it’s too much of a bhp increase for the engine?
and I have no idea what to do or where to go???

there’s so many different tuning companies and different bhp increases???

Have you looked at the ones I suggested?

I'd highly recommend you have one done on a rolling road for best results in my opinion. Make sure the car is in good health prior to doing it.

Well if you don't know what you want, how can we advise? What do you hope to achieve by remapping?

Until you have some specific targets I suggest you leave it as standard.

Is 80bhp too much for a stage 1 remap on a standard car?

I suppose the reason for remapping is because all you hear is it makes you run quicker with better fuel economy etc….

Have you also heard of the disadvantages such as decreased reliability and increased wear? There is always a price to be paid for extra performance. You should consider all aspects before deciding what to do.

@Steve Q I’m going to go with Celtic tuning like you suggested.
365bhp with a gearbox map is £460 including rolling road. 👍🏼

That sounds good 😊 were they quoted figures over the phone or have you used their online configurator?
