Last month I went over to Kwik fit to have my AC re-gassed twice. Both occasions my AC became warm after a week. They said they did a vacuum and pressure test all checked out. Said they couldn’t do anything for me the third time I took it to them.

 

Any ideas what else it could be? I’m convinced I have a leak…. 

You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Alternatively take it to another ac specialist

You may well have a leak caused for example by a blocked condenser or a faulty pressure switch. I suggest the same as Steve, an aircon specialist rather than a Kwikfit cowboy.

Right so took it to another garage, this time i’ve witnessed him servicing the ac from beginning to end.

 He mentioned that it seemed like the ac wasn’t regassed enough previously.

This time round, he’s regassed it for me to the maximum capacity and so far its evidently colder than the previous two regas. We said that we’d leave it for a week…

Hi Gas costs money so if you only fill it half way by the end of the day if you have done say 10 re gas the last two would be free to the company, typical Kwik Shat policy.

So AC seems like its working perfectly fine since then. Stay away from kwik fit. Terrible bunch.
