Joining forum on behalf of wife !!!

She had an 09 2.0 A5 TFSi...but.i persuaded her to get a 2016 evoque...which was a barell full of pain...and.money....now gone.

She now has 2015 A3 1.4 TFSi japanese import and is much happier.

Ill be doing the maintemace on it...so will be looking for advice lol !

It would be worth searching the history of this forum regarding Japanese imports, because I recall a couple of problems in the last two years with owners being unable to get the full registration or related paperwork.

Thanks fpr info. It was purcahsed from a dealer in Slane...once payed they organised the  registration and a new NCT (MOT)..

The media amd radio stations all ok ...but sat nav shows japan...so woukd like tp get thid changed...but wed still.use google maps.

Got the insurance on it ok...bht argeued with a few companies as car actually built in Germany...

Its a.great spec, low milegae car for thr money (in ireland !)

Is there a DIY how to section and any retrofits for the A3

The only thing thats missing is a power tailgate..so thats first  project !

The only retrofit guide we have for the A3 8v is the led cup holder retrofit. If you find a retrofit guide for the power tailgate please feel free to share it.

A forum member wanted to change or update his maps a few months ago without paying Audi prices. He reported successfully buying from a company called something like mapsofbritain. I can't find the post and did not bookmark the website so you would have to do your own search.
