A4 Allroad B9 Matrix Headlights

Featured Replies

My DRLs and Indicators are not working on both headlights. The high and low beams are working.

The headlights were damaged and so I have replaced the drivers side headlight unit and the LED power output stage module as the right side beams weren't working either (but now sorted as module has been replaced)

Any help with the DRL and Indicators not working would be appreciated.

Thank you

Can you give us more information please? Was the car in an accident?

Audi LED Matrix headlights were first introduced on B9 model as an expensive £1,750 option I think from 2016 onwards, or as standard on Vorsprung spec models.

Yes the car was involved in an accident and there was moisture that got into the headlights. The LCMs in both lights got moisture in them which I dried out.

The car is A 66 plate but registered as 2017 year.

At one point only one headlight (beam) was working so I replaced the light power module and got the beams working.

The DRLs and Indicators are not working. The Indicator light on one side worked temporarily but then stopped.

Not even sure where you start. The units are probably £3k a piece. There's power modules, etc. You might be better searching for a headlight specialist that can test and repair. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/audi/RDW/A4Q/849/9/941/941010

Unfortunately moisture and modern LED headlamps don’t mix, on insurance damaged cars that come In our bodyshop that have any moisture present or been exposed to the elements it is usually automatically a new light and every module attached to it as it may be okay for A while but always fail within a few months.  We even see fault codes stored for lights that visually are working fine.

This was sorted by replacing a Light driver module and coding.
