2012 a3 8p instrument cluster

Featured Replies

Hi,

the intrument cluster on my A3 has gone blank and the car only runs for a second of so, the mobile tech that came and looked said it all points to the cluster being at fault, is there a way to test, can i plug in another cluster, i guess the car wont start but at least it will give me more confidence that the existing cluster is the fault.

thanks in advance

There is nothing you can do at home to test it. I suggest you remove the cluster and post it to one of the companies that specialise in the testing and repair of such things. ECU Testing is one such company.

took it out, opened it up to see if any obvious issues, split the front and back pcbs and reseated, issue is now resolved, hopefully just a poor connection, fingers crossed.
