Kick activated power assisted tailgate not working

Featured Replies

The power assisted tailgate used to work with using a kickin motion to open but it has recently stopped working.

My car recently went in for some rear bumber body work (after someone went into the back of me) and im wondering if they didnt replace / fit the sensor properly?

Im not sure what im looking for before i contact them to make sure, but there is a gap underneath the rear bumber.

Is anyone able to help confirm the location of the sensor please?

Likely not been connected properly unless damage was very low down as sensor tube sits in the bottem of the textured spoiler usually. If it was a insurance repair you can expect the garage to have to go back to the insurance to get extra parts authorized so may take a few weeks before it gets fixed but if you remain adamant it worked before the accident they will definitely fix it.
