DRL failed - Best option & headlight part number

Featured Replies

Hi all. I wonder what experience anyone has had of this and how you rectified?

S3 black edition 2017. Drivers side lower LED DRL has gone pale yellow. A bit of research shows there's a chip inside the sealed headlight which needs replacing but that means a world of pain opening the headlight (baking) which I don't fancy doing. It's a shame as the upper LED chip is accessible from the back of the headlamp.

I guess I will have to buy a new headlight. Can anyone recommend the cheapest place to buy and whether any non-genuine Audi headlamps will have the same colour white LED as a genuine part. I'd prefer a genuine Audi headlamp if anyone knows a cheaper than dealer place to source.

Finally, where the hell is the part number on the headlamp. I found a QR Code sticker with numbers on but these don't seem to be relevant? (901024377BGI). If anyone has the part number, that would be great.

I'm reaching ut to some dismantling sites so thinking used is the best option thanks. Any idea where the part number is printed or whether Audi will tell me so I can buy the correct one? Audi seem the worst car manufacturer to deal with so hesitant to call them ...
