What to look for in an abandoned s8

Featured Replies

Found an S8 which hasn't been noted since 2012, was moved to a different location by 2014 and had a broken down note inside. Will soon meet with the owner to discuss the car. What should I look out for and what to keep an eye out for

Hi just about everything, seized wheel bearings, seized brakes does the engine run/turn by hand, rust on the suspension springs, deteriorated rubber suspension bushes, rust on the floor pan, water on the inside under the carpets as nothing terminates modules faster than moisture, perished boot/window rubbers, fuel pumps working, the list is endless on a vehicle of that age especially if its been stored.

Any potential wear or weak points around the engine?

Hi mounts and subframe fixings as well as engine and gearbox mounts as they are hydro bushes.
