Audi RS4 Avant Vorsprung Prices...

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Posting regarding current RS4 Avant Vorsprung Prices.  I am surprised how high they are.  2021 car, with 18k miles £58k,  2022 Dealer car with 28k miles for £57k - I would expect these to be down the mid to late 40's.

I previously had a 2019 RS4 Avant Black Edition, less than 1 year old, which I bought for £56k.  The 2021 car will be 5 years old this year and is £2k more!

I currently drive a Giulia Quad and want to back into a fast estate, and I really liked my last RS4.

I am just concerned I am paying way over the odds for an older car - what are your thoughts - is the market overpriced?

I guess I could always buy a Carbon Edition for around £60k, which would be a 2024 or 23 car.  Is the Vorsprung worth it, as it is the rarer car?

Once you get into the mid £60's, that opens up M3 Touring, something I would definitely consider.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Many thanks

Audi are tight as a gnat's chuff when it comes to factory-fitted options. They moved down the bundle tech route years ago. I do think the RS4 is over-inflated price-wise. That said, the production run has stopped, so perceived demand has forced the price up. Is Vorsprung worth it? I don't know enough about what additional extras you get over and above a standard RS4. I know it includes panoramic, 360 degree cameras, Alcantara headlining, bigger wheels, sport exhaust, etc.

If you're thinking of paying that sort of money, then search out the right car, preferably in a colour you can live with. If I could afford it, I'd go for Sonoma Green.

Thanks for the replies. In one respect, I do understand Audi’s approach, as selling models with defined specification levels does help to support residual values. However, I agree that the prices being asked for current Vorsprung cars feel too high given the age and mileage.

I am starting to lean towards an M3 Touring. It is a little more expensive, but it does move the game on in terms of performance and overall package. That said, I still have a real soft spot for the RS4. I really enjoyed owning mine, and the fact that I didn't lose any money over two years certainly helped, although that was very much a COVID-era anomaly rather than the norm.

Hi go on YouTube and have a look at Vag Technic they have a lot of videos on RS4s especially the later engines, I am of a mind that after watching these a M3 Touring could well look like a wonderful option.

Thanks Stevey - concerning.

Update: I have sold the Quad, and an M3 Touring is inbound.

It will be interesting to compare it to the RS4 Avant I previously owned.

Thanks,

Mark
