Engine noise.

Featured Replies

Hi, I am trying to figure out if this is normal or something I need to get checked. I asked on last service and they said they heard nothing, I do not think they even tried as there was nothing in the notes and they had to find the mechanic.
I hear this noise like a constant booing especially on smooth roads.
It is quite annoying. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Booing or booming? Either way I hear nothing unusual.

Unfortunately that is all too common on audio recordings sent to the forum. You can hear the strange noise because your ears and brain are attuned to it; but the rest of us can not. Unless you can make a better recording with less background noise you will need to rely on words to describe it.

Thanks for having a listening, It is a relatively high pitched noise. I think I may have a wheel bearing that needs replacing so that is being done by the end of the week hopefully that is it. I stick a note in to let everyone know if that was it.

Yes, this turned out to be the wheel bearing left drivers side. Noise gone after it was replaced. 610 euros later.
