Number plate light warning even when new unit working.

Featured Replies

Please help. I know there are many posts re failed number plate lights. Ours (TT Roadster 2020) failed so I bought a genuine replacement. I fitted that and it works but the instrument cluster persists in showing 'Number plate light defective. See owner's manual.'
The owner's manual has nothing to help. Does the system need a reset? Can I do that or does it mean an expensive trip to my dealer?

Thanks Clifford. We have a VAG dealer closer than the Audi dealer. I will ask them.

A friend had an Autel scan tool which we tried today. That couldn't see / fix the fault so I have booked it into our local Audi dealer for later in the month.
