Flickering interior lighting on 2024 Audi A3

Featured Replies

Hi, this is my first post on this forum and relatively new to Audi ownership.

I have a 2024 Audi A3 with the ambient interior lighting which you can customise the colour options if you want.

while driving at night I thought at first I was seeing things, but now I have noticed that the interior lighting seems to randomly slightly dim then return to normal intensity, is this some sort of feature or does it need a firmware tweak, or am I losing my eyesight 😉😝

Good morning Scott,

Fortunately, you don’t have to concern yourself with the potential rights or wrongs of this issue, or the reason for the wrongs - if wrong. All you need to do is to book it in and get it sorted under warranty.

Please let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Gareth.

Thought I would follow up on this post, just in case anyone else had the same issue, I’ve picked up my car from a Audi dealer and they updated the software which has resolved the flickering issue.

First time poster here - I have an A5 black edition, 2023 and having an issue with the interior lighting as well.

I’ve attached a video but hoping someone can tell me if I’m being stupid and I have changed a setting my mistake , or perhaps if it is an issue and I need to go to get it looked at.

In short, the ambient lighting turns off fully when I start the ignition. This was never the case, it was always on without any issue but as you’ll see in the video it now just fully turns off when I start the car. Any help appreciated ?!

Sorry never uploaded the pics properly on my first message. You’ll see first pic is when I have a door open, the lights are on. But see the second pic, once I close the doors and the engine is on, no lighting at all. I wonder is there a software glitch or update required perhaps? Any help or knowledge much appreciated anyway, thanks in advance ! IMG_2755.jpegIMG_2754.jpeg

Hi FP

this looks/sounds like a different issue to what I posted, the issue I had was the ambient lighting randomly seemed to dim then return to full brightness, the software update has rectified the issue for me.

Your issue looks possibly different?
