Quattro Thumping,Thudering under Acceleration

Featured Replies

Bought a B7 3.0tdi Quattro few months ago, in 4-5-6 gear under heavy acceleration before 3000rpm i get a huge vibration thudering coming from under the car. I thought it was my propshaft bushing, replaced it but no diffrence. If i go over 60mph the car starts shuddering slightly. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Calum :)

You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

I'm assuming when you've had the prop bush replaced , do you mean the propshaft bearing? If so and you've changed this then I'm wondering if it's the prop itself or your rear diff?

Sorry I can't help more.

Cheers

Steve :)

Hi Steve, It was the carrier bearing and bushing i replaced on the Propshaft but didnt make any differance. I checked the drive shafts today but no play in them either.

Do you think it could be a diff going bad or a bushing somewhere?

Thanks

Is it auto ? Tiptronic ? Miltitronic ?
