A3 2.0 tdi sport 2014 system fault

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I have recently bought my Audi A3 14 plate a couple of days ago the system fault and the passenger airbag sign popped up on the dash does anybody know if this will be a big problem as I haven’t got the money to get it in a garage to get it looked at until the 12th

Welcome to the forum Kurt, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

The first thing id recommend you do is contact the seller. I'm assuming it's a garage and as such they should be looking at it for you.

You'll.need at diagnostic check carried out to see what the fault is. Did the car look accident damaged at all?

On the other hand it could be as simple as a loose wire. On the previous model of a3 (8p) and some other older Audi models the passenger seat airbag wire would could loose and this would cause the airbag light to come on. This wire was situated under the passenger seat. It might be worth a look to see if any wires are loose.

Sorry I can't help more.

Cheers

You're welcome Kurt. As I say, if you have bought the a3 from a dealer then this should be your first place to turn.

Cheers
