  1. If you have had the DPF delete then was the sensor mapped out too? I do not think this would be the case as the two sensors work as a pair. I would also of thought that an out of range reading will give you an error on sensor fail even where the pressures are not as if read from a legitimate DPF. If the MAF is good then I would explore changing the pressure sensor - I have lost my notes on it but the fault was an "improbable" reading.

  2. Thanks Gareth. Got some money back from dealer, using the diagnostic report as evidence. Did a dpf cleaner run through the tank, it's not come on since, but there's numerous records on the obd of egr valve. Dealer paying for 40% of valve replacement (plus cooler) as I've had only 2 events since I had it and they should have checked it before sale. I don't want to cause any more problems to engine and emissions system by ignoring it, so going ahead this Wednesday.

  4. I’m now home and now I have the V5 I was able to check for tax, where the Autotrader say is was £20 per year and when I check another 1.4 UK car it shows £20/30 per year. now when I run this one it’s says it’s £220 per year, so this is because the euro stats and emissions are missing from the V5 🥱 ive gone back to the trader and asked them to get the V5 updated with the correct details as I don’t want to be paying that each year.

  6. Welcome Akash, I have a similar issue with a non-Audi, and I’m attributing that to a bad wiring contact on the in-tank fuel pump. Not too difficult to sort, depending on your ability. Regards, Gareth.

  7. I found out why my foot kept catching on the footrest. The footrest screw was missing and the cover had become loose, thus fouling on my trainer.

  8. Alright, calm down...I'm not trying to make fun of anyone, but just to lighten the mood, as I'm trying to find a solution to my problem.

  9. Think i have found the correct locations. The picture listed in the haynes workshop manual page 1A.10 calls this the filler but it looks to be the drain plug. The filler looks to be located higher up at the back of the gear box. The picture with the drive shaft shows the drain plug 17mm hex in the lower section. Other picture shows the filler plug just sticking out at the rear of the gear box. Will give this a go next weekend if the weather stays dry.

  10. Update - received my obdeleven today and plugged it in. 3 persistent faults. MAF - understandable as unplugged Fault code 01314 Fault code 01592 Anyone think that either of these could contribute? Could 01314 be due to maf being unplugged?

  11. Welcome Phil, Admitting I don’t know on this model, but logic will obviously point to the filler plug being above the drain plug. Haynes Manuals? - notoriously generic - so don’t always accept all that you read. Might be worth looking at LLL Parts website in the hope they have an exploded view diagram. This bit is of vital importance and should be written in caps:- Always - without exception- make sure you can undo and access the filler plug, before removing the drain plug. Let us know how you get on Phil. Regards, Gareth.

  13. As Dave has said it's often a loose wire under the passenger seat.

  14. I used to keep getting the same problem on my '04 A3. It used to happen every time I gave my mate a lift (putting it politely he's generously built). Turns out when he put the seat all the way back it was undoing the connector under the seat. Could be worth a look if you put the seat back to work on the blower.

  15. This is beginning to sound like a real put-off Andy, but in addition to the above, you are likely to find insurance premiums will be inflated due to it being an import. When was it imported, and does the price make it an attractive buy over a U.K. car? Another potential issue :- I think ( but you would need to confirm) - that this 12 year old car was in the period where these engines had a potential problem with high oil consumption.Check this forum for more detail. Sorry Andy, but ….. Regards, Gareth.

  16. You need proof of emissions for DVLA tax and ULEZ. Otherwise it'll be a nightmare.

  17. Evening Cliff, yes I’ve seen that post and I’ve requester all paperwork such as registration document V5 and Certificate of Conformity completely sorted, luckily I’ve only put a deposit down so hopefully they get the paper work sorted before the 7th which is when I said I’ll collect the car. Thanks for taking the time to reply 👌

  18. I had the MAF sensor changed and a fault lit up again, did a little research and found that there is a pressure sensor for the DPF. Located tot he rear right of the engine - top. I recall mine was about £28 from Euro Car Parts and a 10 minute fit.

  19. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones. p.s. Please avoid using non specific locations such as U.K., England etc. etc.
