  1. Don't forget to code the new battery to the car with VCDS.
  2. An update: Unfortunately the pad didn't work out as well as I had hoped. It's fine to sit on your desk, but the movement of the car can often move the phone on the pad, and it'll stop charging. So the Mark Two solution 😆 After a search of Amazon I found this: Link Which works with MagSafe - Apple's magnetic charging system for iPhones. The phone is held in place by the magnet and the problem solved. So - I undid all the work I'd done on the convertible (and on my other car - a Škoda Superb) 🤦‍♂️ - and fitted the new pads this morning. The only slight difference is that the new pads come with a USB C connector, as opposed to the USB A on the Mark One. Not a problem, as I found a packet of three (*snigger*) high quality adapters on Amazon for a fiver: Link It was then a case of unpeeling all the 3M tape from the Mark One pads, fitting new 3M tape to the new ones and switching them over. Note to self - go to the garage and press down the front of that pad 🤦‍♂️* I also fitted the Mark Two in the Škoda... I have tested both and they work very well. I recycled the two Mark One pads by giving them to a friend's children, who will use them on their bedside tables... 🙂 Mike 😎 *EDIT That's better... 😆
  3. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones. p.s. Please avoid using non specific locations such as U.K., England etc. etc.
  4. I also have an issue with an Audi Q2 - the timing belt has sheared at 39000 miles causing over £10k of damage. The car has been owned by us for 2 years bought from an Audi dealership with full Audi service history which it still has! I have raised a complaint with Audi UK as this (as stated above) is premature failure I believe, especially since Audi have updated their service guides now stating timing belts should be replaced at 140,000 miles and no age limit. The car is on a 2018 plate and was in for service literally 39 days before this happened. Audi UK customer service has been shocking. The dealership are trying to help this has been going on now more than 2 weeks. Car is currently at the dealership unable to be used. What can I do next....
  5. I’ve also had timing belt issues with my Q2 . The bolts came loose - it’s 6 years old but has only done 30000 miles . On a much more dangerous note in September there was a problem with one of the fuel injectors and a whole tank of petrol schooshed into the engine . It could have gone up in a ball of flames at any point. Audi were not remotely interested in doing anything about it because it was out of warranty. Very luckily I am still alive!
