  1. Just joined the owners club so here is my Audi A4 B8.5 3.0Tdi Quattro Black Edition. Had the car about two years, she was standard when I purchased the car. Current modifications: Back box delete. Black gloss rear diffuser. Black chrome exhaust tips. Black gloss badges all round. Black gloss grill. S4 Alcantara seats. RS4 interior door handles. Rear door card window blinds. Audio speakers and tweeters upgraded. K&N air filter. Wagner competition intercooler. RS4 rear anti roll bar. Retrofits: Power fold wing mirrors. MMI 3G plus. Ambient interior lights fitted.
  2. Thank you so much for the advice , I will look into it as soon as I can and let you know . kind regards Michael
  3. Hi I would first have the injectors leak back tested as if they are clogged or firing to much heavy fuel vapour that would cause bore wash which dilutes the oil. Steve.
  4. Welcome Sajid and sorry to hear of your subsequent issue with the car. Regrettably, you join a long list of owners who have suffered similar issues. In fact this forum has long since advised owners to avoid the recall like the plague, and ideally keep vehicles away from dealers in case they do action the recall when in for service or repair. It’s worth doing a forum search for ‘Recall’ - select ‘Everywhere’ from the drop down menu. Please come back to us when you have read of other member’s experiences. Regards, Gareth.

You have given us precious little information to work with Roger, so please tell us: 1/ Does the heater fan work? 2/ Does the temperature guage read 90 when the engine is hot? 3/ Has the coolant system been opened recently? (A new thermostat for example, or a leak fixed.) 4/ Do you need to top up the coolant reservoir more than once per year.
  6. I personally put universal rubber mats over carpet mats that often come standard with the car. For extra cushioning is my theory. Plus working on a farm I need the rubber ones.
  7. That's a good idea Gareth, why did I not think of that 🤦‍♂️ I've been running rubber mats for years and work in some remote places.
  8. The battery is clapped out. You should get it properly tested if you want confirmation, but the drop in voltage under the trivial load of the ignition system shows me it is defective.
  9. Welcome Joseph, Two things to check before moving on:- Alternator output. Battery efficiency. Halfords stores should be able to test both items for you. Please come back to us with the results before committing to buy. The fact that the alternator was renewed 6 months ago, does not guarantee that it’s now serviceable. There are a lot of poor quality electrical items on sale. What were the symptoms which led you to renew the alternator 6 months ago? Same question re. starter motor 3 months ago -? Age and brand of battery and was it coded to the car if replaced during your ownership? Regards, Gareth.
  10. Mine is going in on Thursday to have the engine cut outs investigated. If, as I suspect, they give me the same flannel that everyone else whose had this problem gets, and say that theres no fault, then if its not a fault, it must be happening by design. That being the case they will need to explain to me how, why and under what contitions is it ok for the car to switch the engine off requiring a manual restart.
  11. I found out that the red arrow in the above picture seemingly is a missed call notification. Who knew?!
  12. Does the car have door open warning lights? Audi got tight with what they added and what should have been standard after 2012 or so. Front headlight washers and rear door open and puddle lights just being some of the kit they quietly dropped or if you wanted them you needed to buy a bundled package. Try https://rocketwires.co.uk/online-shop/ols/products/door-lighting for looms. I've used them and it's straight forward. That allows you to piggy-back into existing wiring. You'll need Torx screwdriver, anti-marr trim tools.

Gareth, I purchased the F&R cameras from Integrated Automotive after I installed the CarPlay IMI-1000 unit from the into the A5. It made sense to use their offering as it was plug & Play. Front camera fits nicely in the grill and the rear camera replaces the boot handle very well and is barely visible. I also have a Thinkware system for my dash cams F&R - not the cheapest but very spot with them. https://integratedautomotive.co.uk/ https://thinkwaredashcam.eu/ As far as I know the Integrated Automotive system does not support dash cams with its unit hence the two systems. Hope that is of use? Best regards, David👍
  14. Just be careful - they can be slippery in the wet, but handy to put under a wheel if you get caught in the snow!
