  1. No specific experience of Celtic Tuning. But I see they actually advertise DPF and EGR deletions, that tells me all I need to know. I've watched my fair share of modifications and if I was going to do it - I'd search our Darkside Developments. They seem very knowledgeable technically speaking. As with all performance upgrades - it's what can the gearbox handle? I know in your case whether 30 TDI (114bhp) or 35 TDI (147bhp) if mated with an S Tronic auto box, then just keep up maintenance regime or that's an expensive fix. You'll already know on 2024 build car you'll automatically invalidate what's left of manufacturer's warranty.

Needs a new boot latch fitted as this has stopped locking. Currently has MOT with no advisories to Sept 26 some cosmetics to do on paint lacquer and an arm rest hinge only to do

    Hi all, looks like the fabulous mapping out strikes again which makes you wonder how many others there are out there that have been modified and the unsuspecting buyer wont know, one of my daughters boyfriends once told her, your dad don't like me because I know how to modify cars, his most famous modification being a catch tank he fitted to his rather asthmatic Fiesta diesel, she phoned me on their way back from a weekend away asking where I thought the smokescreen behind the car was coming from, I waited until they got home and found the catch tank was ventilating via a tube down by the bottom of the rear bulkhead and was spraying oil vapour all over the exhaust, good skills thought I. Steve.
  6. Thanks for the heads up on those. So it sounds like either sway bar links, control arm bushings, or the shock absorber top mounts. Will keep that in mind. It's at about 157,200 km right now, and i bought it about 5 months ago with around 152,900 km. I have no idea on the history, but it's had the driver's side upper control arms replaced at least, and nobody has said they saw anything concerning otherwise. Beyond probably the passenger side upper control arms "showing signs of tearing out" according to one technician. It would be nice to pinpoint which specific sway bar link/s, control arm/s, or struts/shock absorber mounts are the culprit. I'll probably have to wait until the summer time when it's nicer and i can lift it in the air to check bushings and all the other components.
  7. Need to check the sotftware change is reversible. The best tuners adjust to individual cars, not provide a generic map. Not sure what the various tuners do? Figures from celtec look good. Not sure of price? Superchips have a Xmas offer of £250 with similar performance til 31 Dec. I presume you have thought about possibly of a remap the gearbox to get maximum benefit, warranty may be invalidated and need to inform insurer. Good luck.

    The dealer's feeble excuse sounds suspicious to my cynical way of thinking. Nevertheless if the problem has been solved rather than concealed it's a good outcome.
  10. Welcome Johnny, Personally, I’d be clapping my hands that the engineeringly averse stop/start system isn’t working, but some owners think it’s impressive. As Billy says re battery, but it’s quite possible the battery is below par anyway. Connrction between TPMS and stop/ start? Have you adjusted the tyre pressures to those recommended - usually inside the fuel flap? If the salesman’s diagnosis is correct!! - then your stop start should work after about 1/2 mile.
