No brake pedal after changing brake doscs and pads
Hi you won't get a pedal on the first push as the pistons have been retracted hydraulically and need to return to their protocol positions, other than that bleed the system, you should always stamp on the pedal a couple of times after brake work to prime the system preferably before driving the car, no ESP could be you have disturbed a wheel sensor. Steve.

B6 A4 1.9tdi car wont start and wont read any fault codes
Hi most probably is the ECU as there is no communication with the can gateway, try enquiring with ECU Testing they repair ECUs on most Audi models. Steve.

A4 rear coil spring
Hi ring parts inmotion and give them your VIN/REG and they will be able to supply the correct part. Steve.

Electrical fault?
Hi get it scanned and it will tell you the cause of the faults, if they are low voltage faults it could just be a duff battery. Steve.

MOT Failed - Now I think Garage trying to scam me for £1290
Hi is there no independent garages near you, Audi specialists/Kwikfit are the biggest shower of thieving its on the planet Kwikfit are wary of doing anything that might get the workshop dirty and the other monkeys will try and create work, so suggest you get a third party to have a look assuming its conventional power steering not electric could be someone has unclipped the wiring to the sensor. Steve.

STARTER MOTOR
Hi if you can get the part number that should nail it. Steve.

Headlight Distance error and Stability light on
Hi yes the new battery will have to be coded most garages have some sort of battery pairing facilities it just lets the charging system know it has a new unit therefore it won't carry on charging at the higher rate and kill the new battery, life is never simple and the same system has been on most cars since 2008 with the exception of the Mini one which up to 2011 you just threw the battery in and that was it. Steve.

Headlight Distance error and Stability light on
Hi unfortunately if you don't quote the post that you want a reply to it won't come up as a flag on any of the posters email so they won't know that you required an answer to their post, I have been on here most evenings at some point but in the absence of a request for a further answer you just don't know. Steve.

STARTER MOTOR
Hi sorry this boss bit has me confused as most starter motors are designated by the amount of teeth and the size of the dog gear on the motor, unless you are talking about the diameter of the hole the starter body sits in, its better if you can put the VIN in on somewhere like LLL Carparts and get the o.e. number. Steve.

Brake discs
Hi either on the log book, in the sticker in the owners manual, on a sticker on the cam belt cover, failing all these phone Audi and they will be able to tell you. Steve.

Servicing
Hy try YouTube loads of servicing guides on there, plugs are easy to change as long as you observe the correct torque settings when replacing them and just give the threads a smear of copper grease before fitting. Steve.

Headlight Distance error and Stability light on
Hi you need to get the battery recoded to the car, the alternator output at the plug [back probed] should be 14-14.5v. Steve.

Rear suspension/ESC issues after spring replacement?
Hi are you sure they got the springs the right way up and both top and bottom fittings are located on the rubber mounts properly. Steve.

Some Sort Of A Leak From The Rear Of My Car?
Hi its a cover they put on some models and not on others, either way the car will have to go on a lift to establish where the oil is coming from, problem with any fluid leak is that oil has a capillary action so it spreads over whatever it touches. Steve.

Air bag light illuminated
Hi it sounds like they might have spiked the air bag module. Steve.

Some Sort Of A Leak From The Rear Of My Car?
Hi still worth looking under the cover/car to see where its coming from before whatever is leaking terminates itself, it could be a small leak from further towards the engine which is blowing down to the back of the car, like all cars Audi are not infallable and they spring leaks mine has done it a good couple of times since I have had it. Steve.

Trickle charging running car battery at lower RPM
Hi let me know what you come up with, and if possible check the alternator output at the plug, back probe style. Steve

Some Sort Of A Leak From The Rear Of My Car?
Hi is it a Quattro, if so its probably the Haldex unit sprung a leak, if not I would still be having the cover off for a peek as that looks like some sort of transmission fluid. Steve.

My Rear Wiper is totally out of control!
Hi Clifford that was exactly my point how can something that is doomed to fail at some point in its life at an indiscriminent time or milage be clever in its design, as you state you never said it was good which proves the point I bought my last one O.E. Valeo two years ago and that ones on its way out, keeps sticking and parking half way across the glass, they are a rubbish design with built in failure points, I can see why wiper delete kits sell well. Steve.

Brake discs
Hi Tony if you can give me P.M. with your Vin and engine code I will run it through my parts system and see which ones fit your vehicle. Steve.

Brake discs
Hi if you go on LLL carparts or ZAP 7 and put your VIN in that will normally come up with the part number for the discs for your car or come to that any motor factors as they all have an Audi parts system, the problem with euros is they don't have many staff who knowhow to use a system, the VIN is the key to the build spec as with my car there's three different sizes of disc unless you give them the VIN, then you get the right size straight away. Steve.

My Rear Wiper is totally out of control!
Hi Clifford why do you think most motor manufacturers use a separate washer nozzle mounted above or by the side of the wiper arm, you don't get this problem, my last Mondeo went to its new owner having never had a rear motor and with 270k on the clock, how can something that saturates itself in a mixture of corrosive screen wash and water and then lets it back into the motor gearbox to rot that out be a clever idea, thats built in obsolescence at its finest. Steve.

Trickle charging running car battery at lower RPM
Hi check the voltage from the alternator should be 14-14.5v on a multimeter from the back probe, if this is ok then check the plug wring from the alternator for corrosion I have known it to be corroded under the insulation and the wire is brown and not copper coloured which causes a resistance especially on the pulse wire to the ECU, there is also a situation where the regulator in the alternator is going up the wall and sends a voltage spike which will also cause a similar problem as the BEM will signal the ECU to shut down the voltage so it won't damage other components, how old is the alternator as it can only realistically be that or the smart charge wiring, 13.5 volts is a good average and is this problem throwing a light up. Regards Steve.

Old front discs
Hi I seriously doubt they are original but they are well past their sell by date, thank you for publishing this as it might well wake up a few others to the benefits of regular brake checks, also if you change the brake fluid every couple of years that has a really big impact on pad/disc wear. Steve.

My Rear Wiper is totally out of control!
Hi the diagnostic charge is a total fraud, the prices for the eBay units are cheaper and probably as reliable as the design is flawed anyway having the water for the washer run through the drive spindle, the O.E. units are made by Valeo/Marelli who are well known for producing crap. Steve.
