  6. Hi Dee I think Gareth has already mentioned the earth connections. If it was me diagnosing it in my workshop and I knew the battery was 100% then I would definitely be placing supplementary earth leads onto the engine to ensure the current has a good chance of flowing through the starter motor and reaching the ancillary components at the same time. Sometimes when you remove and refit gearboxes, earth cables can go back on but not make sufficient effective electrical contact, hence the reason for supplementary cables (jump leads will do) to enhance the chassis earth return. Equally, corrosion can set into loose cables (noticeable by green corrosion (verdigris) deposits around the earth connection points).
  7. Hi Graham Thanks for the heads up, looks like we will have to start thinking about next years events already 🙂 Cheers, Trevor

  9. used a DTUK on my Honda CR-V until just recently....absolutely loved it, not for power increase but improved economy and driveability.
  10. Sorry to have missed the event guys but it seems like you had a good time, regardless of the weather (seems the same as it was when I was there the previous weekend).
  11. Good on you Paul....I admire your willpower, I couldn't give up that easily I'm afraid 😞
  12. lol...you forgot to show the six pack of beer and the bottle of wine consumed after the hike....I know I would need it
  13. I got flashed by a weird speed camera in a small town in Germany. I say weird....it was a rather bland looking pillar, similar to a bollard which unbeknown to me was full of lasers and cameras which emitted a red beam in any direction (360 degrees). Was only just over the 20kph limit and never got a ticket through
  14. Hi Claire...welcome to the Forum. I am mystified by this one! Firstly, the SRS function should not be armed when stationary as the vehicle needs to be travelling in excess of around 10mph and in a forward direction (in the case of the drivers and passenger airbags and seatbelt pretensioners activating). If this is the case that you were stationary, which I assume you were as your daughter was alighting from the car (difficult to do when the car is moving) then I would assume there is either a fault in the programming algorythm or there is an electrical fault. It would be an easy one to prove as if there is no accident damage then it has to be one or the other of the above mentioned faults...and one that needs to be referred through the Audi dealership as a matter of urgency in case there is a potential recall issue. There was an issue with Audi's fitted with Takata airbags (the company has since gone out of business and left a worldwide trail of airbags that need replacing) but not sure if yours is one that is affected...again, check with Audi directly. Let us know how you get on with it all Trevor
  15. next: weather

  17. You are more than welcome to start a regional event if you like and we can help you to boost the interest
  18. Interesting demographic so far....looks like the mid-30's - company cars possibly and when you get close to retiring then you splash out on a new Audi?
  19. Fair play to her, don't think I can even get up the stairs without being completely knackered 🙂 Good luck with the preparations for the big event....post it up on the social platforms nearer the time if you like.
