  1. Hi Reiss....welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear about your crash but at least you are all okay and managed to walk away. It certainly says a lot about the Audi build quality and gives you confidence in this sort of situation. Keep us updated with your new purchase Cheers Trevor
  2. Hi Raihena.....welcome to the Forum The A1 1.0 TFSi will be absolutely fine for town driving, in fact it will probably be the perfect size engine giving you all the performance you need with great economy and no emissions related faults. Go for it ! Cheers, Trevor
  3. may need a battery reset to clear the system and reboot it....may work then?
  4. Not entirely sure but not seen anything on here stating that you can do it yourself, not without visiting a specialist to code it up
  5. think I did hear something about that now you mention it.....whistleblowers are us.com
  6. Shame that VW Audi got caught as everyone else was at it as well

Could be valve cover leaking down a bit of oil and then being thrown around by the rotational parts
  8. Hi Peter I would agree with Gareth on this one, sounds more like the door wiring than output fuse, maybe worth 'wiggling' the loom going into the doors whilst holding down the switch to see if there is any continuity there. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor
  9. Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum Usually, the musty smell is the bacteria in the heating & ventilation system and it needs eradicating by using an 'air cond bomb' which is like a smoke grenade which you put the air con on full (recirculation), windows up and let it rip. The smoke/gas works it way through the pipes and tubes killing all bacteria and hey presto, smells nice again Cheers, Trevor
  10. Not sure, but I wonder if that is the correct bolt for the unit as I would have expected to see a shoulder on the bolt and not threaded all the way up...which could lead to it being overtightened.
  11. Hi Hasan....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  12. Hi Martin....welcome to the Forum The Q7 is indeed a very fine car....would love one myself Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  13. I'll start then......chilling in the back garden with a nice cold beer (or two) and enjoying the sunshine

Usually, if you select directions on most SatNavs it will display the route step by step. Not entirely sure about the Audi MMI though
  16. Osram are a very good make...shouldn't have any problems with them. Usually the system checks for resistances from all the bulbs, a cheap one may not have the correct resistance and therefore it is flagging the fault
  17. I'm not sure of the definitive answer on this one, but it would almost certainly be cheaper to replace before it ever failed and takes out the whole engine with it. I wonder how much the combined parts are and then find a Mechanic who will quote for the job with parts supplied, maybe quite a bit cheaper?
  18. prefer silver myself ... but definitely not sure about this one though
  19. hmmm!! not sure but thinking that the car looks remarkably good condition after a full frontal collision
  20. Have they come back with the root cause for the failure?
  21. Hi Phil I hope you've got European Breakdown cover in place, lol. If Le Mans 24 Hours was anything to go by, with temperatures on the track at 42 degrees, tyres were shredding in no time at all. I would seek advice from a Race School such as at Silverstone or Castle Combe and see if anyone there can give you a calculation on the best pressures for track events. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
