Hi...and welcome to the Forum It sounds like a great car overall....things like the waterpump are essential when cambelt is replaced but should be showing on the bill (if present). The brakes could be from standing around but I personally would replace them all (if there is a wear ridge / lip on the discs suggest that they are worn and for what they cost are well worth doing to improve the pedal/handbrake. May be worth considering replacing the standard hoses for Goodridge hoses which will definitely firm-up the pedal....along with brake fluid replacement. Hi David....welcome to the Forum The engine may be physically the same and the extra power is achieved through Electronic Control Unit mapping to squeeze out some more power. Another check to determine a little more about the vehicle is to use the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry online service which may shed some more light on it. Cheers Trevor

That would seem to be correct as it's probably the voltage sensing wire that energises the alternator and puts the charging light out once there is a charge occuring.

Hi Michael...welcome to the Forum I would have thought is was just a case of opening up the option through a software update as opposed to a complete unit replacement at the factory...maybe they are referring to the initial setup procedure (PDI) where this may have occurred at the factory but could still I would have thought been carried out at the dealership. Not sure about Spotify but I'm sure its the same principle as Napster and Aupeo (never heard of that one though) its just a case of streaming it through Bluetooth I would imagine it's the same unless they have locked out Spotify because of licensing or trying to push the other two apps?

Hi Guy...welcome to the Forum Sounds like it could be Crank Sensor as these tend to fail when the engine gets hot. As you say, the other issues could be related to the Crank Sensor. I would also check the cambelt as a precaution because if that is slightly loose it can out the crank and cam sensors out of phase which could also lead to that fault. let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Hi Andy...welcome to the Forum Had this problem on a Merc Cabriolet many years ago (problem associated with not manually unlocking the boot and just using the remote fob)....had to get into the boot through the back seat and release it manually from inside. Not sure if you could use a similar method on the Audi? Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

I would assume that mudflaps were on there previously and the screws removed. I would try some PK screws (self tappers) first and see if they bite in nicely...you don't want them falling out into the tyre.

Hi Mike...welcome to the Forum The first place I would look for any sort of imbalance is the tyre shape. If you jack up each wheel and turn slowly observing the shape of the tyre to see if it is out-of-round or bulge through damage to the carcass. Been caught out by this sort of fault before...definitely worth checking before shelling out huge money. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Hi Nigel...welcome to the Forum I believe the Q3 will do the job nicely, the Q5 may be bigger but do you really need that size vehicle all year round? The diesel would be the ultimate for torque when pulling a caravan and also may be heavier which will help with the towing weights. Let us know what you decide. Cheers Trevor

I would consider running normal tyres and ensure you have an emergency kit to inflate if punctured. Alternatively, you could try running Slime in the tyres, prevents punctures in the first place.

Hi Anthony...welcome to the Forum The most important things to check on any used Audi is the service history and whether routine maintenance items (belts, etc) have been replaced with quality parts.
