Programming Key Fob
Also, try this method if above one doesn't work You will need BOTH remote key fobs to reprogram one or both of them. 1. Take the key you DO NOT want to reprogram and put it in the ignition. 2. Turn the ignition on but DO NOT start the engine. 3. Put the second key in the drivers door lock. Whilst it is in the lock press the UNLOCK button once only (the lights should flash on the car but the doors will remain locked). 4. With the second key still in the drivers door lock, unlock and then lock the door again. 5. Remove the key from the door lock. 6. Open the car and remove the key from the ignition. 7. Now test the key that you have reprogrammed, the one you have removed from the door lock. If both your remotes don't work, do all of the above for the first key, but at step number 3. press the UNLOCK button TWICE. The light will flash twice and then proceed onto step 4 and finish the procedure.

'Double-DIN' head unit options
You should be able to get the adapter leads for the head unit and any brackets from Halfords to get it to fit your car but not sure what functionality you will lose by changing it. You could also try one of these as another member in the A6 section has gone for one as an alternative to play music through the standard system http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141644377412?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&utm_source=AudiOwnersClub&utm_medium=ForumLinks&utm_campaign=referrals

Main beam lever?
Hi Febe...welcome to the Forum I'm not too sure about the A3 light switching but normally it should be straight back for convenience and safety as you don't want to be messing around trying to switch off main beam when a car approaches. I wonder if anyone else has this issue or maybe it is normal for a LHD vehicle (although can't imagine why)? As regards the lights shuddering, I believe I have read on here somewhere about loose light fittings so it may be worth checking to see if the light units and bulbs are physically secure in the housings. Hope the weather's nice and warm in Spain and it's getting quite cold here now. Cheers Trevor

New A7 fuel consumption
Hi Robert...welcome to the Forum That's quite a dramatic reduction in MPG and I can understand the statement regarding running the engine in but even so, it should deliver quite a bit more than you are currently achieving. Fuel Consumption EC Urban (mpg)46.3 EC Extra Urban (mpg)56.5 EC Combined (mpg)52.3 Above figures are what Audi claim on their website. Could imagine the car needs reprogramming especially in the wake of the emissions scandal. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Just ordered my S3 facelift.. but am I mad?
Hi Ryan...welcome to the Forum Well you certainly won't lose it in a car park! No really, I love it...have always loved bright yellow (works for Ferrari and Lambo) and I think it is like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. Let us know when you get it and what you think of it. Cheers Trevor

SAT NAV won't initialize after garage repair work
Hi David...welcome to the Forum I would imagine the battery would have been disconnected especially if the car was put in an oven following paintwork. If the SatNav wasn't removed for any reason during repair, I would be tempted to take it back in and mention it to them...they may not have refitted a power lead or fuse. Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers Trevor

Intermittent boost problem
The usual fault is where the Variable Vanes within the Turbo gum up with carbon and rather than move into position to optimise the boost, they instead stick in the one position hence the fault code and limp home. Usually caused by smoking around town and not revving engine enough to keep the Vanes from gumming up. Easiest (or rather cheapest) option is to run a cleaner through the turbo which should cure it...see link below http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xturbo+cleaner.TRS0&_nkw=turbo+cleaner&_sacat=0 or the other option is to replace the cartridge section within the turbo which houses the Vanes....see link below http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A3-S3/Turbochargers--Parts/63707 Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

New Owner Sat Nav & Voice Control Advice
Hi Matt....welcome to the Forum Usually, if you select to avoid Tolls or Ferries it should respond accordingly, unless possibly your route is set to the quickest route and in which case I'm sure it should warn you of impending Tolls, etc. I'm sorry I can't be of any specific help here but this would be the stage where I would have to admit defeat and read the handbook. Hope you get it sorted and let us know the outcome Cheers Trevor

Questions re sat nav, aux in and phone
Ouch! That's a lot of money when you could fit a complete aftermarket head unit with SatNav, Bluetooth, MP3 and Phone connectivity all built in for around £100

Strange engine noise on cold start
Hi...and welcome to the Forum That's quite a distinctive noise, as in it doesn't sound like hydraulic tappet rattle but more like a worn pulley or similar. Because of the sound being what appears to be rotational and also that it disappears once it's warm suggests that it should be checked out as soon as possible by a garage (stripping back covers, etc to check what it is) and in particular around the timing belt / chain area. Let us know how you get on with this Cheers Trevor

How to change boot light?
I have never replaced one before but imagine it is a case of fingernail behind the lens. Attached is a replacement LED version which would improve things all round http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291892969225?clk_rvr_id=1111115566012&vectorid=229508&lgeo=1&item=291892969225&rmvSB=true
