2016 A4 Avant consumption advice
Hi Neil....welcome to the Forum It seems that manufacturers' claims are substantially higher than anyone ever experiences in real life. It also depends on driving styles, roads, traffic, etc...probably all tested on French motorways where there is hardly any traffic at all. Let us know how you get on with acquiring one. Cheers Trevor

Questions about which A5 +Extras?
Welcome to the Forum Shame about missing out on the above car...it looks a gem! Not sure about the media controller but it sounds like it has been relocated to make it easier to use. I personally would go for the TDi but that's personal choice really and based on my regular journeys which make the diesel the best option for economy. Let us know how you get on with acquiring one Cheers Trevor

2004 A4 B6 1.8T Strange ABS Faults
Hi Lewis It sounds like you have gone through all the possibilities there are relating to a fault like this. The only other possibility is wiring...possibly a short circuit which is causing the symptoms. Please do let us know what you eventually find as others may experience this in the future. Good luck with it. Cheers, Trevor

Starting issue a4 tdi auto
Hi Ross...welcome to the Forum You could check the wiring to the plug on the Coolant Temperature Sensor as I have found a few with the fault...the wiring tends to break away from the terminal in the connector itself. Worth checking, as it seems to be temperature related. Cheers Trevor

Audi Audio
Hi David I'm sure it's just a matter of replacing the head unit and speakers if you want to upgrade, although the new unit will more than likely need programming into the car. Not sure of anyone in your local area who would specialise in Audi audio but hopefully someone on here could? Cheers Trevor

Tyres
Hi Alan, Unfortunately, I don't own a TT so I wouldn't like to recommend a particular brand to suit the car, e.g. handling characteristics...but if you would like a recommendation as to a brand of tyres that I would be happy to fit to any car then I would definitely recommend Michelin as a decent all-rounder. They also do a really good Winter tyre, especially useful where you are living I imagine? Certainly no good down here is Dorset, can't remember the last time it snowed! Hope someone gets back to you with a definitive answer Cheers Trevor

Can I have missing keys removed from my Audi ??
Hi Niall, That is a valid question, and one which I have not really considered before. I suppose if someone still has the other keys for the car and knows where it is located then there wouldn't be a great deal to stop them from taking it. I would contact your local dealer to ask them the question as I don't know whether they have a back door route to clearing the memory of the other keys (would probably involve hooking the car up to the diagnostic platform to erase them from the Body Control system). Let us know how you progress with this one Cheers Trevor

Help me decided on the packs
Hi...and welcome to the Forum As for the Style Pack, I think I wouldn't bother with the ambient lighting if it was a substantial cost to have fitted but the other two are essential. Dynamic Pack...I don't think I would compromise on any of the items as they are all essential, once used you'll wonder how you ever got by without them. The same with the Technology Pack as well. Let us know what you decide to keep/bin Cheers Trevor

Struggling to find car part measurements
Hi Bobby...welcome to the Forum GSF car parts have a look up facility on their website which gives dimensions https://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/braking/brake-discs-pads/brake-disc You may have to alter the search a little as I guessed a couple of the parameters. Cheers Trevor

rear abs ring
Hi David...welcome to the Forum It should do the job as it works on the same principle (gaps between the teeth) but the only thing that may affect it is the thickness which will alter the gap between the ring and the sensor. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

2017 (too early?)
You are lucky on both counts...having a new R8 to drive and also living in Suffolk as you have great roads there to drive around there, Let's hope there are some members in your area that are interested in setting up a meet but at least you are giving plenty of notice. Let me know if I can be of help in any way. Cheers Trevor
