  4. Hi Louis...welcome to the Forum Did the misfire and lumpy running start after the spark plugs or timing belt replacement?
  5. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum You have a B7 model judging by the headlights and front bumper but it would be worth checking through the VIN number as I believe some convertibles were carried over with a facelift Good to have you onboard! Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi Markus....welcome to the Forum Lovely to see a (soon to be) classic Audi being used for the purpose it was intended....good long road trips in the sunshine! 8. The noise from the flywheel is the fault that would have worried me most.....Dual Mass Flywheel 😞
  9. Hi Aaron.....welcome to the Forum Wow! definitely an Audi enthusiast then Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  10. We all make these mistakes once or twice in our lifetime and its otherwise known as 'expensive school fees' and thats how you gain your education in which cars to own and which ones to avoid 🙂 I think 'old school' Beemers are absolutely fine (but then I am biased) as the build quality was superb but over the years it has not been a priority with some manufacturers.
  11. As Magnet has mentioned, I wonder if the fuel level sensor and/or the computerised readout is compromised and out of calibration and therefore the fuel 'used' is not entirely accurate?
  12. Hi Tom....welcome to the Club Certainly looks lovely and in that colour it will need keeping clean regularly....good luck 🙂 Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

  14. Hi David...welcome to the Club Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the A3....what was wrong with it? I think the only thing to really focus on with an A3 or any other car for that case is the service history and maintenance that has been carried out over the years.....if its been looked after then it should be fine. Dealer history would then suggest that it has had recalls and service modifications when it was in for maintenance work. What do you mean 'brrrr' you live in sunny Bournemouth and the weather is lovely here today 🙂 Good to have you onboard Cheers . Trevor
  15. Either an air lock in the engine somewhere or there is a fault with the engine....my money is on the air lock If you use an infra-red temperature to locate the cool spots in the engine/hoses and then you know where to bleed the air from
  16. Best way would be to take it to a garage for them to use an impact gun on it to loosen it and then just nip it back up for you to remove later on
  17. Hi....welcome to the Forum It looks like a pretty comprehensive spec list with most items covered. As for HUD and 360 Cam, it would be better supplied as OE but otherwise there are always retro-fit gadgets that can be fitted but would not be as good as OE fitment. Keep us updated on how the purchase is going
  18. There are quite a few independent VW Audi suppliers out there that should be able to source VAG parts at a reasonable price. Here's one local (to me) chap who does a lot of non-OE parts https://www.facebook.com/AHPerformanceandstyling/
  19. Hi...welcome to the Forum Feel free to post up some pics of the RS3 if you want Good to have you onboard

  22. Hi Stuart.....welcome to the Forum Good to have onboard
  23. You may be losing fluid through the connection to the radiator if it is being used as a PAS cooler....check around there for leakage and also inside the rad as it may be mixing with the coolant if it has an internal leak
