  1. Hello Les, You are not confirming - when you say it’s sound - that you have actually peeled back the flexible harness covering, and inspected the cables within. Have you? If not, what you are saying is misleading. Kind regards, Gareth.
  2. If the wiring inside the flexible harness sections looks visually sound Les, it is sound. Kind regards, Gareth.
  3. Maybe gracious to thank Matt anyway Tomas - at least he took the trouble to respond to you.
  4. Please keep us updated Julian. Kind regards, Gareth.
  5. It may not be the sensors Kevin, but the ‘senders’. Believe the rears on yours are within the hub casting - well they are on the same year A3. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Welcome Les, Always worth eliminating a possible fracture in the cabling within the flexible harness section twixt body and tailgate. Please let us know how you get on with this inspection. Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. Any update for us Chris? It’s only via. updates and feedback that other forum members can benefit from.
  8. Thanks you Matt for brining this to Tomas’ attention. Kind regards, Gareth.
  9. Please let us know how you get on Charlie. Kind regards, Gareth.

Thanks, just over borderline for an annual service schedule. Guess your is on an arbitrary 18k ish or maximum of 18 months schedule. Are you sure it says oil service, rather than service - which could mean a bi annual brake fluid change for example?

    What is your annual mileage?
  12. Hello Michael, You seem to have posted your plea and not returned to view the responses. We trust you are OK.
  13. Please let us know how you get on Mario.
  14. OK, not available via. Audi, so where else have you tried?
  15. OK, Seems it needs a new pair of springs, but you have to be doubly sure you get the correct ones. Way forward:- Try LLL Parts website to obtain the correct Audi Part number. Search EBay under that part number. Aim for a reputable make such as Febi or Monroe etc. Would be worthwhile checking Parts in Motion website by inputting your registration number. Last point - please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  16. Thanks John, Couple of points:- Are you saying this is no longer available via. Audi? Where have you tried so far? Metal or plastic? Kind regards, Gareth.
  17. Not surprised. We had this situation before. It could be some years before LUK/Sachs are allowed to release them to the aftermarket. Is this becoming a new trend? As I understand it, for the likes of MG, you can’t even buy brake discs on the aftermarket. Kind regards, Gareth.
  18. Hello Michael, Never, ever replace a fuse with a higher rated one. The correct fuse rating has been chosen to protect the circuit. Kind regards, Gareth.
  19. Thanks Rit, Motorway miles will be easy on brake pad wear, and unless you are ‘last seconds on the brakes’ then standard pads should do you fine. In case it helps, I’ve been using Brembo of late on family cars to good effect. Same with discs if needed. I buy mine via. EBay at competitive prices from reputable suppliers. You could try Parts in Motion for example. If you want something a bit more ‘performancy’ then you could choose from the EBC product range. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  20. Please let us know if it makes any improvement Gordon. Good luck, Gareth.
  21. What is your driving style Rit? Kind regards, Gareth.
  22. Mario - please measure at all 4 wheels for us please. Many thanks.
  23. Hello Gordon, It could be either of your options, but I doubt it. Possibly contaminated clutch plate - engine oil or clutch fluid, or the start of the failure of the clutch slave cylinder etc. but worth getting gearbox and engine mountings checked. You could try:- in a safe place, and with no forward obstructions , put the car in second gear and bring the clutch pedal up slowly until you just reach the bite point. Hold revs at say a steady 1500rpm and depress and gently release the clutch pedal just in and out of the bite point. Keep doing that for a couple to three minutes and see if that results in any (temporary?) imprevement. Kind rergards, Gareth.
  24. Going to do some measurements Mario?
