  1. The stop/start system may be present in your car, but if the battery is defective it won't work. As Steve said, find out if the system is installed. Whatever type of battery you fit ensure it is coded to the car.
  2. That makes sense, and fits Audi's push for subscription services.
  3. An impossible question to answer because you have not revealed the brand in question.
  4. Thanks Scott. That's useful information.
  5. The vendor has not returned to the forum for three years so it may pay you to direct message him.
  6. Mark. Sorry to disappoint you but the days of Audi being a prestige brand have gone. It is now just another run of the mill manufacturer cutting costs at every opportunity to retain market share in a world where Chinese manufacturers are making huge inroads as a result of their better specifications and lower prices. Regarding tyre pressures, they are dictated by car weight, suspension resilience, power output, and top speed, not size, so it isn't surprising they differ from the Ford.
  7. In general, hybrids will try to maintain a high state of charge so that electric reserve power is always available, however many other factors can influence when or if the electric motor will run. Perhaps yours is behaving normally, and you had not previously met the conditions for petrol to override electric.
  8. Andy. In what sense do you mean "worth doing"? If you are looking to recover your financial investment by selling the car at a profit after restoration, that is unlikely so it is not worth doing. On the other hand if you love the car, have endless funds in the bank, and will enjoy the resulting transformation, then it is very worth doing.
  9. That's going to be difficult if you can't tell us what the warning message said. Presumably the traction battery was low on power.

Didn't you have the car inspected or assessed by somebody knowledgeable before purchase?

Nevertheless the car needs to be scanned on a decent code reader as Steve suggested. Warning lights on the dash are not enough to diagnose faults.

I believe Steve was referring to oil pressure not oil level, hence the possible need for a new oil pump.
  13. The refridgerant gas has probably leaked out from a hole or a worn pump seal. Get the system pressure tested for leaks, and repair as necessary, before having any remaining gas sucked out and replaced with the correct weight of refridgerant. I suggest using an aircon specialist rather than an Audi dealer.
  14. Any comment on the above replies Raj? I know you have seen them.
  15. How about helping other members in a similar situation by telling us what was wrong and how it was fixed?
  16. Do your neighbours have similar FM radio problems? If so it is likely the matter is just poor signal strength which you can do nothing about. DAB is widely variable across the whole country, which is why FM has been retained long after it was supposed to be dropped.
  17. Interesting that Lenksäulensteuergerät translates as steering column control unit.
  18. You don't think the P2002 could be false because of the faulty battery Steve?
  19. If it is the original battery from 2015, get it changed any way. It is long overdue to be retired.
  20. Perhaps a letter to the dealer asking for a refund would spur him into action. There is nothing like a demand for money for getting his attention.
  21. The battery is not fine, it is almost dead. Ensure you get the new one coded to the car. I wouldn't trust the clowns at Kwikfit any more than those at Halfords.
  22. As a first step get the battery tested on deep discharge testing equipment. A dying battery could be your problem.
  23. As suspected, the central air flap motor is defective according to VCDS.
