  1. No probs at all 🙂 you might find itll day in the owners manual and v5 document.
  2. The 2.0tfsi oil consumption issues/piston ring failures are well documented! Avoid! Especially as you've got an engine in your Avant that's practically bullet proof and sounds well cared for. I'm a diesel fan through and through though so I'm biased. Just retrofit more things to the Avant or mod it to your taste if you're keeping it long term.
  3. I'm shocked it doesn't fit in glovebox. Could you store it in one of the door pockets? There are the boot side storage but if be disinclined to use them for paperwork incase rear light seals fail letting water in.
  4. It's a b9
  5. Thanks for updating us, glad you got sorted
  6. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  7. Have the suspension arm bushes been checked?

Wowsers. What's the next step then? What have Audi said?
  9. Che k your wheel well for water as it might leak into there.
  10. Thanks for the heads up on this. Naughty the garage denied any knowledge.
  11. Have you searched for other dealers locally?
  12. Thanks Gareth 🙂 once I get the sump off I guess we'll know more 😬
  13. Sounds like an issue regarding your phone rather than the car. But the dealer should advise on this. Is it worth you visiting other local Audi dealers to see which one you get a good vibe about?
  14. I think suspension arm bushes are known to cause this kind of issue. Usually the suspension arm ms are changed as a whole.
  15. I'd be getting the pulley replaced. I nearly had a pulley fell.off my A6 2.5tdi.
  16. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  17. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Be prepared to fight it with the warranty company as I'll bet they'll say it's wear and tear. As you paid £7.5k for it makes me wonder if the seller knew the chain needed doing and knew what costs were involved.
  18. I think the door speakers are normal 6.5. They might be plug and play. Not so sure about the amp though.
  19. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 The washer could be the pipe has come loose. I'm not too sure about the radio. If there's an issue with the keyless system I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  20. Thanks so much Cliff, hoping to get more work done this weekend 🤞 Hopefully get the whole sump off and have a look. Had the sump plate off but visibility is poor. But getting it all off will help. I'll definitely take some pictures.
  21. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up but it could be an issue with the quattro system
  22. Thank you so much Gareth. I know you'll all help me which is great and reassuring to know. I felt I've had no other choice as finding anyone willing to work on it or anyone trust worthy has been the issue. Plus I've got nothing to lose if the engine is knackered. My mechanic believes the knocking noise is the crank. I think the turbo was starved of oil too. Both of which are guesses. The engine ran normally in sense is rhythm but with a knocking sound.
  23. Thanks so much Gareth will do 🙂
