  1. lol exactly! :p
  2. Your welcome:) dont worry not a problem. Spartan means not a lot of equipment. S Line has more equipment :) yes there can be issues with the auto gearbox but as long as it's been regularly serviced it should be ok :) furl consumption wise i suspect you'll average around 30mpg but not sure for certain. dont worry there is no such thing as a stupid question and we all have to learn somewhere! ;) cheers steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Bernard :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) i had the front lower arms replaced on my a6 (similar age to the a4)recently abd they cost £350 for the pair and iv been told it will be the same for the upper Ines too, which will need changing come MOT time! Hope iv helped:) cheers steve
  4. Correct!! :)
  5. Iv had a response back from the museum and the dates available in October are: 15th, 22nd, 28th, and 29th are these any good? If not, then they have a free calendar for November and December. Cheers Steve
  6. Welcome to the forum :) Youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Both are nice but it depends how much space you need. For example the Q5 is more suited for families whereas if you live on your own the Q3 would probs be better. And if it were me which ever one you choose, don't go for SE spec as they can be a bit Spartan. Also if you are picking one that's over 5 years old with 50,000 miles plus then check to see if the cambelt and water pump have been cheanged as it probably now due. check the service history. Also check to see the condition of the tyres as the Quattro system is very sensitive and can be damaged by tyres that have uneven tyre treads/depths. Hope iv helped :) Cheers Steve
  7. looks great! :) would you mind if I used this pic for the Audis from around the world thread? Cheers Steve
  8. Hi Simon any reputable exhaust specialist can do this. Especially those that deal with performance exhaust. However I would say that any modifications to your exhaust system could invalidate your warranty. Cheers steve
  9. It could be a sensor, but I'm not sure what for. It's not uncommon for fluids to leak through where the sensors are as the seals fail over time. How much oil is coming out? Is it dripping or gushing out? Sorry, I'm not as technically mind as some of our other members :/ cheers steve
  10. Deffo worth a shot! How does it compare to the car you test drive before ordering it?
  11. Here's a new one we've not had. Both cars were seen in the same film. The first clue is that it's a 2017 film :)
  12. That's been done :p it's fast and furious! ;)
  13. I know! Totally 80s lol And yes I do! Youve reminded me, I need to upload it on here as a template! Mine includes: spec, date of registration, engine/gearbox info, mileage, options fitted, counties visited and achievements. In my cars case being featured on car mechanics magazine :)
  14. Iv not had my tickets yet but I have had all our show passes come today! Plus a letter inviting us to the Audi Driver international evening dinner, award ceremony and disco. But it is £42 per person
  15. Too easy lol! Transformers! ;)
  16. Lol, might e useful for Brad! ;)
  17. Welcome to the forum Drew :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Mans there's no such thing as a stupid question! ;) cheers steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Mark :) sorry to hear your not happy with your a3. Unfortunately I'm unable to help as iv not driven an a3 with the 1.5 engine. Have you had a diagnostic check run on it at all? However the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch and I'm sure one of them can help you more :) cheers steve
  19. Sorry to hear this, but you should definitely take it back to Audi and atleast complain. Id bet money that they tell you it needs a new dpf or egr/egr cooler. Also have you had a diagnostic check done on the car? Oh and I would strongly advise you don't drive the car in limo mode regularly as you can do more damage to it. Cheers steve
  20. I'm trying to think of a 5 film saga but my minds blank lol. Wgat type of sci if?
  21. Hey Dragos, welcome to the forum :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I see you live in Italy, have you got any pics of your a4 in your lovely county? :) cheers steve
  22. Your welcome :) ah ok, well iv learnt something new today! The only other thing I can think of is whether a chartered flight was made for important staff to take them to the motor shows. You know like Geneva for example? Sorry I can't help more though :/ what I also don't get is how the seller knows nothing about it. Seems abit odd to me. When I buy from eBay (which is a lot) I find it odd if the person doesn't know what they are selling. Let's face it this isn't an item you find at a carboot or in your grandmothers garage if you see what I mean. Cheers steve
  23. Looks lovely Dave :) the black edition spec is great :)
  24. A one owner car is always good but certainly check to see if the cambelt has been done :) As I say a remap should push the 140 to 170. In terms of preference they are both good cars and will drive very similar. It's not always about the engine though. Both cars may have different specs. It's always good to go for a S Line or black edition if you can. On looking at your first post the car your looking at is the black edition which is great! :) I have to say that's a big tax difference. Cheers steve
