Even though you're out of the 30 days you're still covered under the consumer law. If a fault occurs with a car or item in the first 6 months of purchase it is assumed the fault was there from when it was purchased. My brother is going through this now and getting his car fixed free of charge. It needed an abs pump (拢3k bill!).

I think it might be slightly louder when steering right , so im thinking left hand bearing , only very slightly louder , to be honest if the radio is on you'd hardly hear it , so im thinking its only getting rough rather than gone . Its booked in for a service in 3 weeks so im hoping it should last until then . At least now I know its not the tyres , the tyre shop gave the 2 that were on the car a good check and confirmed that the tyres weren't the problem, so my garage wants to check it tomorrow to confirm but won't be able to do the job until 3 weeks time . To be honest I've had bearings in the past that would drown out the radio . The noise stays while coasting so it shouldn't be a gearbox bearing as its there with no load and the gearbox is acting very normal , so im thinking for sure wheel bearing .

all seems to point to steering angle sensor but could this be set off by a faulty wheel sensor??....i can hear a slight grating as i drive between houses....drivers side not sure front of back??.....my airbag light doesnt seem to want to go out ..it goes out for a second when my mate tried turning it off with his magic machine ....i dont wanna buy a steering sensor if i dont need one but i might have to

Hi. I鈥檝e just bought a pre registered A3 Black edition (74 plate). There is a compressor and tyre puncture kit in the boot in a polystyrene holder on the bottom right hand side of the boot. I kept my previous A3鈥檚 space saver wheel (2018 plate) and it doesn鈥檛 fit because of the polystyrene foam insert. Is there an easy way to get this insert out as the tyre should fit if it was moved. There seems to be a plastic button like thing holding it to the boot but don鈥檛 want to wreck it if there鈥檚 a way of removing it without damage. Any help greatly appreciated

Heated Seats. Installation of S line Heated Seats
Steve Q replied to papa yankee's topic in Audi A3 (8V) Forum
Unfortunately you'll find you'll need the heated seats Wiring harness. Not only that you might find the airbag connector might be different. And you can't just cut off the old connector and solder on a different one as this will throw the airbag warning lights. As such the best way is to remove the airbag from your current seats and put them in the new seats if that makes sense. -
Have the engine mounts and gearbox mounts been checked? As the movement could cause noise. Could it be something to do with liquid sloshing when I get loads and it throwing off the sensors? For example when I had an issue with my A6 washer bottle leaking it wouldn't always tell me it was low unless the washer fluid moved away from the sensor if that makes sense.

I'd definitely recommend speaking to the company that sold you it. Just in case they sold you the wrong parts to make it fit your dash.

Paul would you care to edit your last message. I think you omitted your own text as it contains nothing but quotations of the two previous messages.

Engine scammers when selling your car
Steve Q replied to Miss Teacher's topic in Audi Club Lounge / General Chat
Seen loads of these stories. If selling a car make sure you're not alone. Make sure they either come alone or with one other person. Anymore people refuse to see them. -
strange noise when accelerating, what could it be, video attached.
Magnet replied to arron1995's topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
Hello David, This thread originated 4 years ago, so could you start a new thread and clearly outline your symptoms -as you would if starting from scratch. Many thanks, Gareth -
You need to get a pry-bar on the suspension. Arms are usually good for around 80k miles. Upper arms possibly. An inspection of the engine and transmission mount would be worthwhile as suggested. If you are changing arms, Meyle HD or Lemforder only.

Yes I have had a look here and on other places to could not find anything I think it something to do with the blend door vent thing as on drive side you can feel the air con slightly but passenger side just stay on what ever the temp is set to with no air con

Hello Andrew, You seemed to have joined and posted at the same time, and not returned since to read and acknowledge the advice you asked for. Any particular reason?

I ask, since you joined and posted on the same day, and are yet to read the advice you asked for. Please read the initial pre - posting request referring to just that situation.

Thanks Cliff. Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be cheap tbh.馃檪 Having to just put up with it for now until it can be seen, so will just be pleased to get it sorted.

Thank you Richard. I very much did have DAB for three years then it just dropped off suddenly in March or April. All of my saved DAB Radio stations still exists in my 'Memory'. The coincidence of me losing my DAB when everyone else did is too great to ignore, but perhaps it IS the DAB antenna ???? So that may be Audi Barnstaple and a large bill then ! Your help is much appreciated, thank you.
