I've put a new sensor on and problem still there. How serious could this be? It's now booked into my Audi garage for a diagnostic.

Richardracer replied to Richardracer's topic in Audi Cars for Sale and Wanted
Hi everyone, I do not have a specific budget, but am just starting down this road. I have looked at prices on Autotrader, EBay and on here to get some ideas. I would guess 拢3k to 拢5k but let鈥檚 see what is out there please. -

It's a common fault in many Audi models.

Hi Bob, did you manage to sell your car? If not, can you confirm which engine it is and any known faults/issues. thanks richard -
Thanks Doug, I have emailed the letter directly to Audi UK, but as you went through your local dealer and they honoured it I think i'll also send them one for good measure. Thanks

So, I took the car out for an eight or nine-mile trip today - to get some breakfast... ...which was very pleasant. On the way home, in addition to the DPF light (which had been on from the get-go), I got the flashing glow-plug light, shortly followed by the check engine light. The triumvirate of misery... 鈽癸笍 When I got home, I plugged Carly in, and after 20 minutes or so, got the following result: The Smart Mechanic says: ...and goes on to say... So, it doesn't tell me much more than the light on the dash. My DPF is clogged and isn't re-genning as it should. No clue as to why... 馃 It mentions a control unit - anyone know what/where this is please? Thanks, Mike 馃槑

Once again I can only hear broken audio so all I can suggest is to take the car back for diagnosis.

Glad you had it done and it's made the car nicer. Well done for getting the gearbox remapped too as this often gets overlooked.

Which of the new Audi A5 models feature MHEV ?
Steve Q replied to georgepamak's topic in Audi A5 Club
Sorry to hear that -
Will have a look at the wires you suggested, Watch this space will let you know.

Apologies I've only just seen this. I still have the A6 but no further forward to be honest. They definitely become a labour of love. The issue I've found with the 2.5tdi V6 is parts availablity for the engine now. How are you getting on with yours?

Mmi sound freezing
Steve Q replied to Jepor's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
Ideally you'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It might also be worth contacting Audi to see if there's a software update available for the mmi. - Yesterday

Wasted advice I'm afraid Steve. Swansea has not been back to the forum since posting his question. -
Yes, no issues again today. I'll see how it goes, will let you know if there's any further developments. Rgds, Rich

Pd engine is a very reliable engine. Check for mayo round the oil filler. Might be worth getting the engine pressure tested. Obviously worse case scenario is a head gasket.

2021 A4 - Rotational Noise (Not Balancing)
Steve Q replied to mt1982sheff's topic in Audi A4 (B9) Forum
Sorry to hear this. If the warranty company are refusing to honour the unlimited labour rate then I'd argue this is warranty has been miss sold. So the dealer is partly responsible for this. I'd open a case with the motoring ombudsman but you'll be waiting 4 months for a case to be assigned. -
I had mine plugged it don't really come up with much they are saying it's a electrical fault between gearbox and brain of car
