  2. Be careful doing it as one of my glovebox hinges has snapped as the plastic has gone brittle. Definitely try wd40 etc. If it's moving slightly you could put felt on the edges of the glovebox.
  3. I can get that, I was shocked when my gran passed and I was very close to her. I've had to reduce hours as I've been working too much. Always here if you want a chat
  4. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  5. Two threads Steve - same question!! Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Hello Avinash, Buying second hand?? I wouldn’t, even if I could find one. Probable solution:- Do a Google search for local-ish commercial vehicle hydraulic specialists/suppliers. They should be able to point you in the right direction to get one made up. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. I have the same issues. I have reset the MMI, reinstalled then Audi app. deleted the Octopus app even thought I am not on a cheap tariff and its still giving me random charging dates and times. its annoying when you have to keep checking the app to see if the car is still charging. I am going to call into Audi as see if they can help.

    Air suspension

On my A6 Allroad, the current ride height is highlighted in orange, while the other height settings are just blank boxes. so I would assume yr assumption is correct, but greyed out rather than blank. when the old Allroad had suspension issues, all height segments were blank if I recall correctly.
  10. The comfort control module should be under the carpet. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Alternatively get an auto electrican to take a look
  11. Do t forget the old saying, if it sounds to good to be true/too good of a deal it probably is.
  12. Hi halogen lights are cheaper until you get in to the coding and wiring changes, you might be better served buying second hand apart from that the majority of people want xenons because the light output is far superior, you may well spend a lot of money to fit halogen lamps only to be disappointed when you can't see as well. Steve.
  13. Last night I posted a couple of replies on Andrew Doyle's LinkedIn profile, responding to comments congratulating him and his team on the release of a new etron model. I last had contact from Audi Executive on 23 April 2024 apologising for the delay in responding appropriately, due to a big backlog. I was told to expect an update within 2 days......7 May, I have still heard nothing. I have suggested Audi attend to their existing customers who are unwittingly driving dangerous, unreliable vehicles, before focusing their efforts on expanding their range. Less lucrative for sure, but essential and absolutely the responsible thing to do. My car has been repaired under the 7 year extended warranty but since it's return has numerous intermittent faults, all very unnerving. In all my years of driving I have never worried about driving, sadly my A6 has ruined that. The dealership performed a software update due to a P button fault. The technician advised that although the light was intermittent if I had continued driving the auto gearbox would soon have jammed as it was 'confused' about which gear was actually selected. My car is now jumping on occasion into M1 and back again, only response has been more unacceptable head scratching. The full gauge will at times return to full while I am driving and the range will increase without a visit to the fuel station, if only! I believe my car to be dangerous and unreliable, certainly not what I would havd chosen to invest my money in. I plan to start politely messaging them through social media platforms and I will also apply to 5he consumer rights programme RIp Off Britain, in the hope that if we can gain their support, Audi may be more inclined to take this seriously. I am now into the fifth month and my patience is wearing thin.
  14. Sorry Shak, I’m failing to link lack of stop/start with water pump and cambelt. Kind regards, Gareth.
  15. Running it with barely any oil will more than likely knackered it. Have you checked for leaks? As it shouldn't be low unless there's a leak.
  16. The only thing I can think of is that the cars had a replacement head unit at some point

  18. Greetings, I got check engine light and code: U04A400 - Invalid data received from PM sensor Has anybody have any experience with this kind of code? Tried also googling it, but there isn't much information about it. It seems to indicate particulate matter sensor fault but tried replacing one (4K0906261) and there was no effect. Even unplugging the sensor didn't change anything on live data related to particulate sensor.

  21. Hi I hope you bought the three seals as well, radial shaft seal that goes in the slave cylinder, the driveshaft seal for the diff side, you have to take the diff cover off to get at it, then we have the crankshaft seal behind the flywheel and ring gear if thats leaking thats a whole new level, no point in dodging it as it just gets worse and coats the friction plate in engine oil, bit of advice put a bit of plastic over the brake fluid reservoir before !Removed! the lid back on and wrap the end of the pipe in clingfilm when you remove it from the slave cylinder, finally you have to put a bungee on the clutch pedal to stop it falling on the floor, this also stops fluid loss via the master cylinder which iff allowed to travel to the end of the cylinder body will ruin the piston seal so you will need a new one of those as well, I hope you have a four poster to use as the gearbox weighs a ton it took three of us to lift it off of the gearbox jack. Steve.
  22. I've had a look on the forum but I've not yet had the chance to look at the fuel cap recess! I will, soon and get back to you.
  23. Hello Andrew, I would help if you gave us all the necessary information you have from the outset.
  24. Thanks Sofa - very helpful - I have to admit I didn't know you could dispense adblue at garages - but then it's not my car - so I've never had to find out ! Jools
