  4. Running it with barely any oil will more than likely knackered it. Have you checked for leaks? As it shouldn't be low unless there's a leak.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not done with it. A lot of Audi's have been arriving without correct specs since COVID claiming issues with supplies, chip shortages etc. Q7s have been coming without matrix headlights too.
  6. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The carpets haven't got wet at all have they? I ask as the comfort control module sits under the passenger footwells and controls windows etc. When it gets wet it can become damaged.
  7. The only thing I can think of is that the cars had a replacement head unit at some point
  8. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  9. Greetings, I got check engine light and code: U04A400 - Invalid data received from PM sensor Has anybody have any experience with this kind of code? Tried also googling it, but there isn't much information about it. It seems to indicate particulate matter sensor fault but tried replacing one (4K0906261) and there was no effect. Even unplugging the sensor didn't change anything on live data related to particulate sensor.
  10. Hi, Appolgise for the very late reply have you managed to sort out the problem with you car? I had mine sorted out it was just the water pump an cambelt in the end just Audi gave me the run around

  13. Hi I hope you bought the three seals as well, radial shaft seal that goes in the slave cylinder, the driveshaft seal for the diff side, you have to take the diff cover off to get at it, then we have the crankshaft seal behind the flywheel and ring gear if thats leaking thats a whole new level, no point in dodging it as it just gets worse and coats the friction plate in engine oil, bit of advice put a bit of plastic over the brake fluid reservoir before !Removed! the lid back on and wrap the end of the pipe in clingfilm when you remove it from the slave cylinder, finally you have to put a bungee on the clutch pedal to stop it falling on the floor, this also stops fluid loss via the master cylinder which iff allowed to travel to the end of the cylinder body will ruin the piston seal so you will need a new one of those as well, I hope you have a four poster to use as the gearbox weighs a ton it took three of us to lift it off of the gearbox jack. Steve.
  14. I've had a look on the forum but I've not yet had the chance to look at the fuel cap recess! I will, soon and get back to you.
  15. Hello Andrew, I would help if you gave us all the necessary information you have from the outset.
  16. Thanks Sofa - very helpful - I have to admit I didn't know you could dispense adblue at garages - but then it's not my car - so I've never had to find out ! Jools
  17. it only slides one way some were magnetic and when nozle goes in the pumps station opend them
  18. Not on facelift s-line. I’ve checked.
  19. Hello! Of course, it’s a Bank Holiday Monday and we have a long (>250 miles) and the glow plug light starts flashing in the 2008 A6 Le Mans that we bought just a week ago. The car is in semi limp mode and can eventually get to 60mph but I am concerned about doing damage to the car. We are going to stop in Lancaster which appears to have a National Tyres & Auto Care centre which is open. Fingers crossed that they can do a diagnostic. If not, we are wondering if it’s going to damage the engine if we keep on going to the South Coast….
  20. Thanks Avinash, Could you help us by letting us know where you have searched to date. Kind regards, Gareth.

  22. Hi. Is this problem fixed? I haver exactly the same problem with my A6C7 Avant 2.0TDI.
  23. Hi AdamLa, I am having the same exact issue as you've described on my A3 2017. Car has never gone into limp mode though, I've been on the motorway at normal speeds with the light flashing the entire journey. But as you've described, car turned off at work and restarted 4+ hours later on the way back from work - doesnt illuminate. Next morning it does illuminate again. Although heavy acceleration always seems to bring it up whatever the conditions. Fault code is Oil Pressure Switch related. Did you manage to fix the problem and what did you need to do? Was it simply changing the switch? Please please tell me it was an easy fix 😁
  24. Dont ask, 2007 build, electric gremlins, the nav doesnt work neither does the radiom but by god does it glide and absorb uk roads, I love audi but for comfort Mercedes always wins
  25. Hi Wayne I don't think its the relay it is most likely the motor, because they are a cr@p design and fail frequently over the 190k I had the car I went through three rear motors all with different symptoms of failure, constant running, parking of wiper arm in multiple positions, no wiper at all, this is due to water ingress in to the control box PCB, never changed the relay ever, but if you use reverse logic if it works why is the relay at fault, most common symptoms of relay failure are, intermittent function or no function at all. Steve.
  26. Hi lads long story short I have a 2005 gti with a Cdl engine from a 8p s3. Recently my car has developed a misfire on cylinder 4 only it’s accompanied with these following codes p0300 multiple missfire, p0304 cylinder four missifre ,p1093 bank 1 fuel measuring system 2 malfunction. Cars gotten new pcv, coil packs, spark plugs, intake manifold was cleaned + valves from carbon, new n80 valve + the lines that run into the manifold, fuel filter, cam follower. All these things weren’t too long ago either only a few months. Car has switchable maps, 320bhp. I’ve also done a compression test ( cold ) 190 on all cylinders and 186 on cylinder 1. I feel like I’m missing something as I can’t figure out what is wrong with it. The missfire was inconsistent and started at high Rpms under load and then developed into constant to a point now where it sounds like a rotary. Epc and engine light flashes. I’m Gona bring it in to a shop this week but thought I’d ask here to see if anyone ever had similar problems.
